Sheryl: Words cannot express how wonderful my life has become since my new "little man" has joined me in California. Jake in such a short time has become the best dog I have ever been privileged to adopt and make a member of my family. All I hear from people is to expect the horror's of puppyhood, sleepless nights, chewing, potty training etc. Well, this little guy is exceptionally smart and bonding was immediate. I never had an issue with him the day I picked him up from your home, he had his beach towel and "pluto" stuffed toy with his mom's scent on them and he settled down immediately. It was a big trip for the little guy to travel 500 miles in 1 day but he was definately a trooper. Since late November he has learned to sit, fetch his tennis ball, play tug-a-war and is learning to "Hi 5" The leash training was a snap. He is well behaved on our walks and is always looking at me for clear direction while on a walk. He never pulls on the leash, he says right by my side at my pace. Next is the puppy training class which I know he will get 1st place. Jake has a loving personality and is already aware he is to protect our home with his cute little "wuffs". Everyone that has had contact with him thinks he is georgous, well behaved and intelligent. The groomer fell in love with him. He is like a floppy teddy bear. As you know, I have told everyone what a great organization Sheroc is and I would love to have another brother for Jake some day. The loving care you and Rocky give to all your animals is what makes them special. Sheroc is not a business that is working for the money. Sheroc is in business because of the love and joy each dog gives to their adoptive parents. Written By Carroll Purvis |

People comment on how Beautiful his color is and how well behaved he is. Smart is an under statement, wicked smart (as the Brits say) is more accurate. He has one ball he loves and if we get tired of rolling or throwing it for him he makes up his own games. He constantly drops it where it is most difficult for him to get and then studies how it rolls and how to get it. Unfortunately some of his favorite places are under sofa, bed etc. He lays flat on his belly and tries his bet to retrieve it but eventually one of us lays on our belly and gets it. ONCE! Two times and it stays there.Once again, we are so happy to have Pepper. He is such good company and a love. I can’t remember where I heard this but a man said,” when everything goes wrong and you’ve lost so much, you can come home to your dog and it will always love you.” Soooo true! Love, Ginny |
I would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation and gratitude for the purchase of our newest family member (Dexter) from SHEROC KENNELS. As your kennel is located more than twelve- hundred miles from my home, a bit of anxiety is normal for a transaction of this nature. Your overreaching concern for my new puppy and its transportation for the 10 hour drive he made to personally supervise “Dexter’s” air shipment to me. My little buddy was never alone for a moment. What a red carpet treatment. The Evangers dog food program that you put us on has resulted in an extremely healthy puppy with no problems. The superior digestibility has resulted in a much lower waste factor. This may sound like a small thing but it is another indication of the attention to detail that separates SHEROC KENNELS from the average kennel. The breeding and temperament of your lineage is very evident in your puppies. As I have over 30 years experience in dog handling and training with large dogs, I can say the following without reservation. “Dexter” has a wonderful temperament; he is very eager to learn, is extremely smart and has a sweet and gentle nature. I cannot remember the last time I developed such a strong attachment so quickly. Less than 30 days to housebreak – no potty accidents. Dexter loves to chew, yet he has not chewed on a single item that was not an allowed item (ever). His training to leash was accomplished in a few minutes. Dexter is absolutely a gorgeous poodle. He turns heads wherever he goes. I want to commend your breeding program. The selection of your breeding lineage is such a high caliber and quality that I would recommend it to anyone. As a family we wish to express our gratitude for the wonderful addition to our lives. Thanks for all of the hard work and the attention to detail that sets you and your kennel apart from so many others. Sincerely, Joe and Kay Chamberlain 404 Chaps Drive Heath, Texas |

when the baby is in the car and when she is alone in the back seat and the car has been known to do a complete cloverleaf loop along with taking the stairs two at a time. She sleeps in the crate and makes it through the night with no problem. I am so convinced that you and Rocky have figured out the secrets to improving the breed from genetic, health and behavioural perpectives. Rockette is a great companion and our entire family is delighted with her. I personally appreciate all your efforts and the experience of visiting you and learning about your dogs and your methods of nurturing them. My days at Sheroc or as I call it “poodle camp” will always be a happy memory and have given me a great perspective to build upon. I’m also eager to hear news from you guys as well. Talk to you soon, Linda LaRocca |

| Bella went to Oregon to Live with Dr Guiley and I think he likes her HA HA |
| She (Bella) really was lonely when the lights went out, crying and barking. Sooooooo, I let her curl up on the floor next to my bed. Nope. She wanted up. Despite my trepidation I set her on the covers and she immediately went to sleep My automatic alarm clocks set for 6: 00am. She started licking my face at 6:00 However, I think you guys fooled me. She must be part horse, ‘cause she eats like one!! What a doll!! I’m in love, so don’t say my girlfriend is a dog…… Ron Ron Guiley O.D., M.P.H., F.A.A.O. Glaucoma Clinic Eye Surgery Institute |

| Hi Sheryl. I wanted to send you and Rocky an update on devoted you two are towards your dogs and decided to update you on one of your offspring. Bella has been a surprise to me in many ways, all of them wonderful. Last year I lost my black female who was an alpha, and who was a “one-person” dog. She had been my best friend and totally devoted to me for nearly 14 years. Bella had big boots to fill. Bella isn’t an alpha. She loves everyone and everything. Sometimes to excess, but she’s getting better about controlling her tremendous excitement for life. For several months she was SO submissive when meeting any dog or human. We were frequently wiping up pee from her submission dance. But that has changed. She is growing up. She now bounds excitedly toward any new dog, ready to start a game of tag with alternating chaser/chasee. Furthermore, this is a dog that I can take anywhere and not worry about her fighting with or biting another dog or, God forbid, a human. I sense she’s going to go into her first heat soon and end her crazy, joyous puppy days. Bella isn’t as tall as my previous poo and I’d say she’s going to be a bit smaller than normal. She’s at 44lbs today, despite a healthy appetite, but I anticipate she’s going to fill out as she matures. However, that was another surprise. I found her size to be a definite asset when living in a house with a human family, and when jumping in and out of cars, and when she decides to sleep leaning against me at night. The vet loves her and says she’s really in good health. What a finicky eater!! She’ll seldom eat ANY packaged dog food. She’s totally spoiled on her home-made food. Thanks again for the tip on the nutritional supplement. I’ m planning on using it. Bella is the most athletic dog I’ve ever had. At 9 months she’s faster than most of the dogs in this area, and far more agile. She lives to run, and can scarcely contain herself when I start getting ready for us to go on a run. We’re exploring the nature trails that honeycomb this area. She’s my constant companion when I’m at home. Thanks so much for being part of my Bella Period, and making it possible. I’ll get some current pics this weekend and send them. Aloha. Ron |
| you later this weekend (I know you have a had to tell you something amazing. This afternoon Pepper walked over to the back door opened the door. She went through, down the porch steps and on to her potty place which is adjacent to the porch. (before we left for Utah, he had cleared away some tall tropical plants from a flower bed and left a nice space for her business. I’ll bet we have gone out there between 100 and 200 times since we got back.) Charlie stayed on the porch and said nothing. She peed and after a short time, pooped. She came back up the steps over to him and he praised her. They came back into the house. Charles said she did it all by herself, and would have opened the door if she could have. He is blown away. Maybe it’s time to place some bells at the back door. Earlier this afternoon I opened the front door to get the paper. She came out of nowhere and obviously wanted to go out. This was a short time after her lunch. I put on her leash and we went up the steps to the yard. She did her business (#’s 1 and 2) and then sat, looking up at me. I praised her and we went back into the house. I guess we should place some bells at the front door, too. Then she can decide for herself: is it the back yard or the front yard? I’ m blown away by her intelligence. Every morning after breakfast we stay outside in the back yard and play fetch. She runs to get this green soft ball and brings is back to me. When she gets tired, she simply puts it in her mouth and won’t play anymore. This morning she took a 3 hour nap after all that fun. Around 4PM today we went to the pet store to pick up a play pen (like the one you had her in when we first saw her) We put Pepper in a small grocery cart so she wouldn’t come into contact with any dogs. She sat perfectly in the cart, just looking around and being quiet. People came up and one lady said: Is that a stuffed dog? She is so perfect. What kind of dog is it? Pepper handled the new people very well. No one petted her at our request. Came home and Pepper was very eager to get into her new space. We put the “play pen” into her “room.” We put all her toys in there. She played and played. I fell asleep on the daybed and she fell asleep too. Charles said “his two redheads are napping.” What fun. We love, love, love her and are so proud of her. She is doing well here. Thanks to you and Rocky for our baby. Pat |
